We will be following all COVID-19 safety procedures and ask that all students and parents wear a face mask and maintain social distancing when walking on school grounds. When arriving by car you can have the option of pulling into the bus dropoff lane and wait for your child, or if you would like to walk up with your child please park and walk back to the basketball court. Students will only remove their mask during the brief time they having their picture taken. If your student will be at the YMCA please email President@BenRushPTA.org with your name and your student’s name, we will work with YMCA staff to have their pictures taken at a time that works best for the staff and photographers.
How do I place picture orders?
We are taking orders online through our photography partner O’Connor Photography. Please do come to have your picture taken even if you are not interested in purchasing a picture package as these pictures will be in our school yearbook.

The Biweekly Math Challenge program provided 15 sets of challenges throughout this school year.
A total of 89 students participated in our program. We have 41 winners, who have submitted at least 9 of the 15 Math Challenges.
The winners will receive an email by Friday, May 28th, 2021 with details about picking up their Winner certificates and prizes.

We’re happy to share that at the May PTA Membership Meeting it was approved to gift a yearbook to all Ben Rush Students and Staff! We are looking forward to providing students and families an opportunity to have a lifetime memory of this extraordinary school year, and be able to see their fellow classmates and school staff. But we need your pictures! Please send your student pictures to email@example.com and include your student’s first name and grade level. We welcome pictures that you and your student would want to share, some ideas are listed here:
- a picture of your student where they did their remote learning
- a picture of their first day at the school if they returned in-person
- a picture with their favorite art project of the year
- a picture practicing their recorder
- a picture with their favorite book read
- a picture doing at-home P.E.
Our goal is to receive a picture from every student, so please send them in! If you have a picture with multiple students please ensure you have consent from their families before sharing the picture.
We would also like to give students and/or families a chance to share a message of appreciation with Ben Rush school staff. Please visit this Google Form and submit your message by June 16th!
We were pleased to hear from Rose Hill Middle School Principal Joe Gorder at our May Membership Meeting, and as a follow-up we will have a small panel of former Ben Rush parents who are now middle-school parents to share their experience entering middle school and take your questions! Please join us for some real talk about the transition to middle school.
During this meeting we will also approve our PTA budget going into the next school year and elect a new board of directors for the 2021-2022 school year.

Are you struggling with schooling your child at home? Are you wanting to feel more connected to others in the community? Join “Tea Time” hosted by the Ben Rush PTA to connect with other parents, share experiences and receive support. The purpose of this virtual gathering is to provide a supportive environment for parents of Ben Rush students as we navigate this challenging time. Face to Face connections within the virtual world while sharing stories can be empowering and helpful. Feel free to join us with some tea, snacks or dinner.
