Love ice skating? For every Ben Rush participant who skates at the 2014-2015 Magic Season Ice Arena presented by Bank of America and Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® card this season, $3 will be donated to our school just by notifying rink staff that you are affiliated with Benjamin Rush Elementary! The arena is located at Bellevue Downtown Park just south of JCPenney’s. Admission to the rink is $12/person or $9/kids 8 and under and includes skate rental. For more information, please see www.BellevueDowntown.com.
Interested in learning how to skate? Visit the ice arena on January 8th between 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to learn how to skate from the pros! Skating instructors will be on-site to give complimentary skating lessons. Normal admission rates apply for each skater.
Principal Davies is in need of 2-3 volunteers per grade level to inventory science kits. She will hold a training so the volunteers know how to do it (it is really straightforward) and then each group of grade volunteers would be responsible for doing the inventory three times a year. Some grades take longer/shorter than others, but it would take about 1-1.5 hours each time. We will not need the kindergarten volunteers this time around, but would love if they could come to the training so they know what to do for the next time. They could also help some of the other grades that have more inventorying to do. The dates/times for inventorying would probably be: December 17th, April 1st and June 10th from 1:30-3:00 p.m. This would really help the teachers!
Thank you in advance for your willingness to help. Not only would you be helping the teachers, you would also get to know Principal Davies better.
This week will be the final week for our fall After-School classes. Our Winter/Spring schedule will begin the first week of February and will run through the week of May 11th. Detailed information of our new class lineup will be coming soon.
