Tournament Schedule:

  • 6:30-6:50: Check-in & Seating
  • 6:50-6:55: Welcome & Rules
  • 6:55-7:00: Mental Math – Rules
  • 7:00-7:15: Mental Math – Test
  • 7:15-7:20: Mental Math – Collect Tests
  • 7:20-7:25: Problem Solving Challenge – Rules
  • 7:25-8:05: Problem Solving Challenge – Test
  • 8:05-8:10: Problem Solving Challenge – Collect Tests
  • 8:15: Students Released to Parents

Overview:  The Math Challenge Tournament is a National Mathematics tournament open to Grade 2 – 6 students. Students in Grade 1 can participate, however, they will be competing at a grade 2 level. Math Challenge 2019 problems are in a multiple choice format.

Everyone gets awarded! All registered students will receive a certificate of participation and a keepsake. Students who are in the top 10% in their grade level and division nationally will earn medals. The student who scores the highest overall in their grade level and division will earn a “Math Challenge Tournament Champion” water bottle.

All results will be announced and posted on the last week of January 2020. Invitations to a further Math Challenge Tournament Masters event will be sent out after results are posted.  All awards will be mailed to organizers by the first week of February 2020.
